New Insights affords Clinical Supervision from a Certified Clinical Supervisor.   Interns seeking LCAS or CSAC qualifications with the North Carolina Addiction Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) is available.

Supervision is an opportunity for you to have your skills enhanced and to gain confidence and competence in your craft.  Ultimately, effective clinical supervision ensures that clients are competently served. Supervision ensures that counselors continue to increase their skills, which in turn

increases treatment effectiveness, client retention,

and staff satisfaction.

SUPERVISION RATIO CLINICAL WORK

SUPERVISOR

A Supervisor is a teacher, coach, consultant, mentor,  evaluator, and administrator;  You will be provided support, encouragement

 and education  while addressing an array of psychological, interpersonal, physical, and spiritual issues of clients.  The clinical supervisor also

serves as liaison between administrative and clinical

staff.

For the CADC, LCAS, and CCJP; the practicum supervision must be completed with a CCS or CSI at a ratio of 1:10 hours. After the practicum is completed, the supervision ratio changes to 1:40, however it may only be provided by CCS or CSI. The CADC and CCJP require on-going supervision at a ratio of 1:40 for the first renewal cycle, 1:80 for the next, and finally 1:160 for as long as they hold the credential. This may be provided by an LCAS.
